8 Easy to Make Smoothies and Punch

Strawberry Smoothie, The Juice Caboose
Enjoy the summer with these refreshing beverage recipes that are easy enough for kids to help with.

Golden Punch

Ingredients:

  • 2 (6 oz.) cans frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans apricot nectar
  • 2 (1 pt. 2 oz.) cans pineapple juice

Directions:

  1. Add water to frozen concentrates as directed on the cans.
  2. Combine with the apricot nectar and pineapple juice.
  3. Chill for about 1 hour.

Makes about 50 servings.

Orange Julius

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 5 to 6 ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in blender.
  2. Blend until mixture is slightly foamy and ice cubes are chopped up.

Makes 2 large glasses

Fruit Punch

Ingredients:

  • 2 (3 oz.) packages fruit flavored Jello
  • 2 cup boiling water
  • 6 cup cold water
  • 1 quart ginger ale, chilled
  • 1 (6 oz..) frozen orange juice
  • 1 (6 oz.) frozen lemonade
  • 1 (14 oz.) unsweetened pineapple juice

Directions:

  1. In a large container, mix Jello and boiling water. Stir until the Jello is dissolved.
  2. Add the frozen orange juice, lemonade, and pineapple juice. Mix well.
  3. Add the cold water.
  4. Pour the mixture into a punch bowl and add ice cubes and ginger ale.

Makes 50 servings

7-Up Sunshine Punch

Ingredients:

  • 1 (3 oz.) package orange-pineapple flavored Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen pineapple juice concentrate
  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 5 cups cold water
  • 32 oz. of 7-Up, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange slices

Directions:

  1. Put Jello and boiling water in a blender. Blend at low speed until Jello is dissolved.
  2. Add pineapple juice concentrate, orange juice concentrate, and 1 cup of cold water to the Jello mixture. Blend until combined.
  3. Pour mixture into a punch bowl.
  4. Stir in the remaining 4 cups of cold water and add ice cubes.
  5. Carefully pour in chilled 7-Up.
  6. Use orange slices on top for decoration.

Makes 2-3/4 quarts

Strawberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries (or frozen)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup plain yogurt

Directions:

  1. Wash and cut off tops of the strawberries.
  2. Blend strawberries with the milk and yogurt in a blender for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Serve immediately.

Makes about 4 servings

Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 4 bananas
  • 3 scoops of plain ice-cream
  • 2 tablespoons of golden syrup
  • 3 tablespoons of plain yogurt
  • Lemon juice (optional)
  • Sugar (optional)

Directions:

  1. Cut the bananas into small pieces and put in the blender.
  2. Add all the other ingredients. Blend on full for 20 seconds.
  3. Put lemon juice around the rim of the glasses then roll the rim in the sugar so it sticks to the lemon juice.
  4. Serve immediately.

Makes 3 servings

Chocolate Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1-3/4 pint chocolate ice cream
  • 18 ounces milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • Chocolate shavings

Directions:

Mix all of the ingredients in a blender, then sprinkle the chocolate shavings on top for decoration.

Makes 2 servings

Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of skimmed milk
  • 1 cup of low-fat vanilla ice cream
  • 2 cups of frozen blueberries

Directions:

Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.

Makes 2 servings
